About Monica's Birthday-

February 13th, 1978: Monica made the sound of a champaigne bottle being uncorked as she popped out into the world.

February 13th, 2008: Monica will have spent thirty years running amok among us. During that time, she has found a huge number of excuses to make thousands of people dress like fools, wallow in water-based lubricant, run crazy in the streets, and accidentally hook up with one another.

February 9th, 2008: To help her celebrate yet another Earth-ride around the sun, Monica needs you all to download the Monica's Birthday Instructional MP3 and meet up in Dolores Park at 1pm.

What to expect/What to bring -

Expect: We've based the idea for Monica's Birthday on Improv Everywhere's MP3 Experiment. You'll be part of a group of people obeying a shared voice in your head.

Bring: On February 8th, download the MP3. For maximum fun, we ask that you do not listen to it until the event. Bring your MP3 player (with headphones, natch) to Dolores Park. Listen for a megaphone blast. This will be your 30-second warning- cue up the MP3 and be ready to hit play. When the second blast goes off, press play and set your MP3 player to the locked position to make sure you don't accidentally turn it off.

Also, you're going to be running around, so plan on bringing something to keep your MP3 player secure.

Monica asks that you wear very little. That said, if you're not into the whole birthday suit style of dress, Monica has requested that you dress after the style of your favorite musical act from 1978. Here's a wealth of information to inspire you.
